We are seeking an experienced Housing Advice Officer to join our team in High Wycombe working on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for a period of 6 – 12 months. High Wycombe has excellent transport links, with easy access to the Chiltern Line from London taking less than 30 minutes to arrive from Marylebone. The M40 at Junction 4 is also very easily accessible with it being only 2 miles away from the offices.

In this housing advice role you will be required to provide effective, accurate front line housing advice and assist applicants to explore a full range of housing options available to them. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The workload is varied and fast moving and part of your role will be to ensure all the necessary steps and actions are followed up in a timely and accurate manner.

To be considered for this role you will have experience of providing a customer driven front line service within a Local Authority, Registered Provider or a similar public or private organisation; and must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be comfortable dealing with a broad variety of customers in a service organisation, together with having good attention to detail, excellent IT skills and a full driving licence.

You will be well organised and have relevant work experience and knowledge that is related to housing legislation and guidance or statutory services.
